It was created by GW's Cal Deal, who later converted it into a brochure
for mailing to members of the Bar.

DEAL CREATES CAMPAIGN'S
ADS & WEB SITE; RUSSOMANNO
WINS WITH RECORD VOTE

Graphic Witness owner Cal Deal was a key member of Herman Russomanno's
winning team in The Florida Bar's 1999 Presidential Election.
Deal served as a campaign advisor, created ads for the Florida Bar News,
built an extensive campaign web site, designed handouts, coordinated a mass
mailing to Florida's lawyers, and performed numerous other campaign tasks.
"Cal did a terrific job and made a significant contribution to the
success of the campaign," President-Elect Russomanno said. "He
single-handedly pulled together some very persuasive ads on tight deadlines.
The web site was a big success, and I appreciated his intelligent campaign
advice.
"Now that the election is behind us, I look forward to working with
him on trial exhibits in our cases," he said. "His graphic evidence
is outstanding and highly persuasive."
Russomanno won with the biggest total in Florida Bar history: 13,614
votes. He came to within a percentage point of a landslide victory with
59.4% of the vote. He was sworn in as President-Elect of the Bar on June
25, 1999 and will become President in June 2000. The Florida Bar has more
than 64,000 members.
Deal and Russomanno met in 1998 at a meeting of the Broward County Trial
Lawyers Association. Both are natives of northern New Jersey.
Russomanno is the senior partner of Russomanno & Borrello in Miami
(305-373-2101).
